I started working in the outdoor industry in the summer of 2021 when I came to Three Rivers as a marketing intern.
What is your origin story working for Three Rivers Whitewater?
In the Spring of 2021, I was finishing up my sophomore year at Saint Joseph’s College of Maine and found the Three Rivers Marketing Internship on Indeed.com. Through the internship I was encouraged to go through guide training. This was by far the best decision I’ve ever made! I love being a guide here at Three Rivers!
What do you love most about being a Maine River Guide?
I love being a Maine River Guide because I get to share the river with guests and show them a beautiful part of Maine that a lot of people haven’t had the pleasure of experiencing.
What is your favorite rapid to guide in Maine?
My favorite rapid to guide in Maine is Big Mama on the Kennebec River!
What is your favorite hike in Maine?
My favorite hike in Maine is Mosquito Mountain. I’ve been hiking it every summer since I was very little. One of my favorite things to do is hike up to watch the sunrise!
What do you enjoy doing when not working?
When I’m not working I enjoy hiking, reading, going out on the river with friends to body board or go rafting!
Favorite experience on the river?
My favorite experience on the river was when I got to go on an Overnight Trip with YMCA Camp Coniston campers. On the second day of the trip we took them down the Kennebec River and these campers were so enthusiastic about everything and I had so much fun with them!
