Kennebec River Tube Rentals makes a great “Second Day” activity as well as a more relaxing alternative for those who don’t wish to go white water rafting in Maine. Bask in the summer sun and breath in the fresh air as you take in the amazing views of the Lower Kennebec River!
Our tubing trips begin at 12PM daily.
These trips begin at Three Rivers Whitewater in The Forks, ME. You’ll check in at the Three Rivers Trading Post where you can stock up on lunch, snacks, drinks, and adult beverages. If you’d like to bring food and drinks with you on the river, we recommend reserving an extra tube to carry your cooler.
From here, a shuttle will take you 2.8 miles north to the put in at the Inn By The River.
When the shuttle drops you off at the put-in, our guides will provide you with a personal floatation device (PFD) & your tubes – it’s that easy!
Once you’ve listened to our safety speech, you are off on your very own Maine river tubing adventure. The day is yours to relax and play on the river. The tubes can tether to each other so your group can float down together.
It is important to note that tubing is a self-guided activity. You will not have a guide with you on the water, so you will be responsible for your own safety.
Make sure to keep your eyes peeled for wildlife, especially for bald eagles, who frequent the banks of the Lower Kennebec River. This is also a perfect opportunity to bring along a waterproof camera to capture your favorite Maine memories. Make sure to tag us at @threeriverswhitewater to get featured on social media!
The trip is 6.5 miles long and typically takes 2.5 to 3 hours to complete. There will be a shuttle waiting for you at the take out spot to bring you right back to our base.
