Chef (The Forks, Maine)

The Boatman’s Bar & Grill

(45-50 hours weekly)

We are looking for a strong, experienced head chef to run a a small, yet busy kitchen with lots of activity in a great, friendly environment and growing business.  This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative, artful chef, with excellent presentation skills in a continuously growing restaurant.  Great pay with room for growth and year-round work.  Serious applicants only please.  Experience is a must and this person should possess the following attributes:

  • Diverse food knowledge and strong culinary background
  • Excellent attention to quality
  • Great people skills, self motivation and an outgoing personality
  • A willingness to learn current menu and recipes
  • A desire to create and learn new dishes

Breakfast & Lunch Cook (The Forks, Maine)

Inn By The River / Three Rivers Boatman’s Bar & Grill

(40 hours weekly) 

We are looking for a strong, experienced (although we will train the hard working and willing) person for cooking breakfast, lunch, prepping for Head Chef, baking, and customer services.  There is opportunity to advance rapidly, and pay is competitive with room for growth and year-round work.  Commercial cooking experience a plus.  This person should possess the following attributes

  • Organized, hard working, and detail oriented
  • A willingness to learn current menu and recipes
  • A desire to create and learn new dishes
  • A desire to bring new ideas to the table and a constantly improving menu

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Learn our current menu with all prep and cooking standards
  • Work closely with Head Chef, Inn Keeper, bar and waitstaff to provide quality service and food
  • Food prep for breakfast, lunch, dinner
  • Baking homemade desserts and breakfast breads, muffins, pastries

Reservation & Sales Rep (The Forks, Maine)

Working with Office and Sales Team

(40 hours weekly)

Three Rivers Representatives will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in all areas of managing a first class hospitality and recreation facility.  The candidate will work directly with guests, management and employees in areas such as sales/marketing, recreation planning, customer service.  Pay is competitive with room for growth and year-round work.  This person should possess the following attributes:

  • Great people skills, self motivation and an outgoing personality
  • Outstanding guest service skills
  • A desire to create and complete goal oriented tasks relating to our vision
  • A basic knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • The ability to work in a fast paced- guest service oriented sales environment while still conveying fun, adventure and excitement
  • Must be able to work independently and be a good team player
  • Must be flexible and able to multi-task
  • Previous experience with reservation programs a plus!

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Learning our reservation system
  • Coordinating and building reservations for guests including lodging, various activities from Whitewater Rafting, Hiking, Fishing, Skydiving, and other trips, and All Inclusive Packages
  • Interacting with guests in a direct sales and service environment
  • Generating new sales leads and group reservations
  • Working directly with Managers to continuously develop and improve guest experience
  • Phone sales and reservations
  • Assisting guests in planning an enjoyable experience in the Maine Wilderness
  • Providing one-on-one guest support as needed
  • Administrative tasks such as data entry and filing
