Incase you haven’t heard yet, everyone’s buzzing about this upcoming total solar eclipse and with good reason.
On April 8th 2024 a small fraction of the world (0.55% of the worlds population to be exact) will be able to experience this total solar eclipse and The Forks, Maine happens to fall directly on the line of totality!
A total solar eclipse happens when the sun and moon align. This means when we look up to the sky the moon will be blocking the sun completely.
For a few minutes in the afternoon, it will get real dark, feel like night time, and its even expected to drop about 10 degrees cooler.
Birds and insects are expected to fall silent and even confused nocturnal creatures may begin to stir.
This will be a SURREAL experience so make your plans to head to “the dark side” or as close as you can to this line of totality.
This kind of event won’t be take place in the continental US again until 2044, so be sure to book your stay in The Forks and don’t miss out on this extraordinary astronomical event.
There are a few log cabins still available for this event but we are expected to fill up, so be sure to make your reservation ASAP.
