How long have you worked in the Outdoor Industry?

I have worked in the outdoor industry for 7 years, but started guiding in 2019.

What is your origin story working for Three Rivers Whitewater?

I originally came as a guest, which was my only time rafting before coming back to do guide training. I chose Three Rivers because everyone here has an attitude of serious fun and a commitment to running safe trips!

What do you love most about being a Maine River Guide?

The thing I love most about being a river guide is sharing an awesome trip and experience with people from around the world. Also, the dynamic nature of the job — everyday is different!

What is your favorite rapid to guide in Maine?

My favorite rapid to guide is Nesowadnehunk Falls on the Penobscot River, a.k.a. the coolest place on Earth. Also, Magic Falls Rapid on the Kennebec River during one of the HUGE water releases because we get to hit Maytag, a gargantuan wave of epic proportions.

What is your favorite hike in Maine?

My favorite place to hike is The Bigelow Preserve! The preserve located in western Maine includes the entire Bigelow mountain range and seven summits. It’s a beautiful area with many hikes and other outdoor activities such as biking!

What do you enjoy doing when not working?

When not working I enjoy bodyboarding the Kennebec River, hiking, watching documentaries, talking about food, and napping!

Favorite experience on the river?

My favorite experience on the river was a huge water release on the Kennebec River in 2020 with peak foliage and beautiful 75 degree weather! It was the perfect combination to celebrate the end of season.
