Maine River Guide Training Course

Three Rivers Whitewater Guide Training Course is a seven-day river guide program with very high standards. Completing the training course to become a Maine River Guide at Three Rivers is a rewarding and unforgettable summer experience.  Our professional guide staff considers the training to be a highlight of their own lives and we all hold this training near and dear to our hearts.   The Maine River Guide Training Course is designed to make dedicated participants proficient in all the necessary skills to be a safe, knowledgeable, and entertaining Registered Maine Guide. These areas of training include boatmanship, river geography, hydrology, water rescue techniques, guest service, risk management, equipment care, outdoor trip logistics, and much more.

Adventure Marketing Internship

Adventure COOP is looking for College Interns with a desire to further advance their Marketing, Branding, Social Networking skills, and Trade Association. Today’s marketing arena is highly aggressive and constantly changing to adapt itself to potential consumers. Adventure COOP Marketing Internship offers a curriculum that helps the right individuals obtain valuable skills to compete in this ever-changing genre.

All Interns will receive an allotted amount of complimentary Skydives and Rafting experiences to familiarize them with our exciting industry.  “Mandatory Fun” as we like to call it. This will give you first-hand knowledge of our product, which is vital in conveying our concept. The program will run 14 weeks during the summer. This is the height of our season.

Office and Customer Service Representatives at Three Rivers Whitewater Rafting, The Forks, Maine

(40 hours weekly – Working with Office and Sales Team) FUN Jobs in Maine: Three Rivers Representatives will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in all areas of managing a first class hospitality and recreation facility.  The candidate will work directly with guests, management and employees in areas such as sales/marketing, recreation planning, customer service.  Pay is competitive with room for growth and year-round work.  This person should possess the following attributes:

  • Great people skills, self motivation and an outgoing personality
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • A desire to create and complete goal oriented tasks relating to our concept
  • A basic knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • The ability to work in a fast paced- customer service oriented sales environment while still conveying fun, adventure and excitement
  • Must be able to work independently and be a good team player
  • Previous experience with reservation programming a plus!

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Learning our reservation system
  • Coordinating and building reservations for guests including lodging, various activities from Whitewater Rafting, Hiking, Fishing, Skydiving, and other trips, and All Inclusive Packages
  • Interacting with guests in a direct sales and service environment
  • Generating new sales leads and group reservations
  • Working directly with Managers to continuously develop and improve customer experience
  • Phone sales and reservations
  • Assisting guests in planning an enjoyable experience in the Maine Wilderness

Chef at Inn by the River, The Forks, Maine

(45-50 hours weekly – Working at the Inn by the River and/or Boatman’s Bar & Grill) FUN Jobs in Maine: We are looking for a strong, experienced head chef to run a a small, yet busy kitchen with lots of activity in a great, friendly environment and growing business.  This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative, artful chef, with excellent presentation skills in a continuously growing restaurant.  Great pay with room for growth and year-round work.  Serious applicants only please.  Experience is a must and this person should possess the following attributes:

  • Diverse food knowledge and strong culinary background
  • Excellent attention to quality
  • Great people skills, self motivation and an outgoing personality
  • A willingness to learn current menu and recipes

Breakfast and Lunch Cook, The Forks, Maine

(4o hours weekly – Working at the Inn by the River and/or Three Rivers Boatman’s Bar & Grill) FUN Jobs in Maine: We are looking for a strong, experienced (although we will train the hard working and willing) person for cooking breakfast, lunch, prepping for Head Chef, baking, and customer services.  There is opportunity to advance rapidly, and pay is competitive with room for growth and year-round work.  Commercial cooking experience a plus.  This person should possess the following attributes

  • Great people skills, self motivation and upbeat with a friendly personality
  • Organized, hard working, and detail oriented
  • A willingness to learn current menu and recipes
  • A desire to create and learn new dishes
  • A desire to bring new ideas to the table and a constantly improving menu
  • The ability to work in a fast paced kitchen while still conveying fun, adventure and excitement
  • Able to work with a sense of urgency
  • Must be able to work independently and be a good team player
